Natalie Stovall – Wine or Whiskey

Today’s song of the day is ‘Wine or Whiskey’ from Natalie Stovall. Natalie, who has been named as one of CMT’s ‘Next Women of Country’, has an incredible voice and this single is perfect evidence. We caught up with Natalie and asked her all about the song –

“‘Wine or Whiskey’ is a song written by Lori McKenna, Jimi Westbrook, and our sweet, beloved Andrew Dorff. The first time I heard it, I wasn’t aware it was written by 3 of my favorite writers. But it stopped me in my tracks. I cried. And I felt so pulled towards it that I had to record it. Immediately. It’s a song about that exact moment when you are hanging in the balance when your life is about to change. But in this specific moment, you don’t know whether your dreams are about to come true or they are about to be shattered. The melody and lyric breaks my heart in the most beautiful way. And to top it off, Jimi Westbrook (from Little Big Town) is singing backgrounds on it. Yeah. That’s a thing that happened. I hope it touches you as deeply as it has me.”
