EXCLUSIVE: Jes Marie Talks New Single ‘Party In The Sun’

Here we chat exclusively to Jes Marie to discuss the track and future plans:
How excited are you to be sharing your new single?
I’m thrilled to be sharing my new single with everyone! It’s so nice to have it out in the world!
Can you tell us a little about the writing process for the track?
My inspiration for “Party in the Sun” came to me on a beautiful sunny day! I was walking around Los Angeles thinking about how gorgeous the weather was that day and the “party in the sun” line just came to me. From there I got inspired and came up with the melody, then wrote the rest of the lyrics. Then I worked with Simon Jay, who is an awesome producer, on the track!
How would you describe the overall vibe to new listeners?
The overall vibe is fun and upbeat. It combines traditional country instrumentation with pop and electronic elements.
What was the main inspiration behind the song?
Definitely my love for the beach! I absolutely love getting away for a vacation or even just for the day and going on a beach trip. It’s one of my favorite places in the world.
What are you hoping fans take away from the track?
I hope that fans feel uplifted and it puts them in a positive mood when they hear it! I love helping people to feel good.
Can we expect a full length album from you soon?
I’m always writing and working on new material! I have another single coming out this summer. I am hoping to do a new album soon!
Do you currently have any touring plans lined up?
I gig in Los Angeles all the time, and my schedule is at jesmarie.com. I hope to do a tour soon!
Looking ahead to the rest if the year, what else can fans expect from you?
A music video is coming out for “Party in the Sun” in a few weeks, so I’m really excited to share that with everyone! I’ll also be releasing another single and music video this Summer, and of course, continuing to write and perform!
