Exclusive Video – Bailey Tomkinson with ‘Past Life’

Today we’re delighted to feature an exclusive recording from Bailey Tomkinson, one of the newest rising stars on the UK country scene. Bailey has performed a brilliant cover of Maggie Rogers’ ‘Past Life’ (from the brilliant ‘Heard It In a Past Life’ album). Bailey gives an incredibly powerful performance of the song, just her and a keyboard and those incredible vocals. A huge thank you to Bailey for this exclusive video.

We featured Bailey for the first time last month after the release of her excellent ‘7 Minutes in Heaven’ single, a song which impressed me so much it made my own Belles and Gals Spotify playlist below (featuring the best of UK artists).

Next weekend Belles and Gals are hosting our regular ‘Showcase’ event at the Water Rats venue in London, where Shannon Hynes, Rebecca Riedtmann, Tasha Robertson and Máiréad will be appearing. An 18 year old singer-songwriter from St Ives, Cornwall, the media buzz around Bailey has resulted in her recent signing to German indie label FBP Music. Building a strong reputation on the UK festival scene in 2018 Bailey appeared at The Great Estate on the same bill as The Charlatans, at Leopolooza, Motorfest and at Parklive in Falmouth.

A regular performer on BBC Music Introducing, Bailey has also recorded live sets and interviews for Source FM and Coast FM. When she’s not performing, she can be found surfing the waves on Porthmeor beach in St Ives.

Raised in Milan, Brussels and the UK, Bailey plays both the Piano and Acoustic Guitar and her influences range from Jewel & Taylor Swift through to the Eagles and John Denver.
