Ramblin Roots Revue to Return in April

The three-day indoor Ramblin Roots Revue music festival returns to High Wycombe for a second year from 6-8 April, in association with Americana label, Clubhouse Records. The bill boasts more than 25 roots, Americana, bluegrass and alt-country acts from the US, UK and Europe including The Magic Numbers ahead of their new album, and a UK debut performance from Norwegian band, Lucky Lips

The Savannahs

Fans of Belles and Gals will recognise a number of featured artists on the line up, including both the Savannahs, who brilliantly headlined our latest live show and Carousel, when we spoke to Sarah from the band after the release of their fantastic E.P

Tristan Tipping, head of Clubhouse Records, said: ‘The inaugural festival was a great success, with more than 1,000 people enjoying acts across the broad Americana and country music genres. We’re proud to be back with another quality line-up that reads like a ‘who’s who’ in contemporary Americana. It promises to be a great weekend, whatever the weather, and as well as being indoors you’re guaranteed to always be within a few metres of a stage showcasing fantastic acts, a well-stocked, reasonably-priced bar and good food.’

Carousel

Weekend tickets, including breakfast on Sunday, are £32.50 with Friday night (£15), Saturday (£20) and Sunday (£8) tickets also available.

The Rebellion Beer Company, Ham Hill Cider and independent distillers will provide a range of craft beers, ales, lagers, ciders and a wide selection of whiskies and bourbons throughout the weekend. A variety of food concessions will offer freshly prepared BBQ, smokehouse treats, and Tex-Mex delicacies to suit all tastes.

The festival’s official charity partner is ‘‘Ridin’ the Roots’’, a 600km cycle ride from Lewes to Kilkenny in April to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The event is in memory of Willie Meighan, the owner of Kilkenny’s legendary Rollercoaster Records, who sadly passed away in November 2017.

Bucks Students’ Union’s fully-accessible venue is a few minutes’ walk from High Wycombe’s mainline rail station and is situated close to a wide variety of hotels in the town centre.

Full details of the line-up can be found at www.ramblinrootsrevue.co.uk with tickets available online at www.seetickets.com/go/RRR2018.

Look out for a competition running all weekend at Belles and Gals, where you’ll have the opportunity to grab yourselves a pair of weekend tickets!
