Road to C2C Series #1 – Kacey Musgraves

Welcome to the first in a brand new series, where Belles and Gals will be spotlighting all of the female acts appearing at the C2C Festival this year in London. I thought I’d start with the fabulous Kacey Musgraves. Kacey is an artist who sprang to our attention when releasing ‘Same Trailer Different Park’ back in 2013. The single success of the amazing ‘Merry Go Round’ paved the way for the album, while hits such as ‘Follow Your Arrow’ (above) and ‘Blowin’ Smoke’ soon followed.

In 2015, Kacey followed up with ‘Pageant Material’, an equally brilliant album. One of our early twitter polls asked the question as to which of the two albums was better, and the votes just couldn’t split them. The stunning title track, ‘Biscuits’, ‘Dime Store Cowgirl’ and ‘Late to the Party’ all became must listen to tracks, while the hidden duet with Willie Nelson at the end of the album was an amazing surprise.

A new album from Kacey is imminent – will we hear it before C2C? Only Kacey and her team know! But rest assured – when it’s released, we’ll be all over it!

Kacey will be headlining on the Saturday night at C2C London.
