Katy Hurt Launches Pledge Campaign

There was some great news for the UK country scene yesterday, when it was announced that Katy Hurt has launched a pledge campaign to record her new E.P ‘Somewhere Down in Winnipeg’. The campaign has got off to a flying start already, with more than 25% of the target reached within the first day. Katy has teamed up with Pledgemusic as a way to build a community around the next release – and you can quickly and easily become part of it.

The Pledges start at just £6 with an access pass, which includes behind the scenes footage and a digital download of the new release. However, if you want to get more involved, there are a variety of different ways. Perhaps you’d like a ‘surprise box’ filled with mementos for £30 or  want to do a co-write with Katie via Skype for £60. At the top end, you can help Katy record an extra song for the EP and have a special thanks in the artwork for the EP for £750. How does a full band house concert sound? It’s yours anywhere in England for £1,000!

Katy is one of the real stars of the UK country scene and one of the hardest working – playing more than 100 gigs last year.
