Canadian country music legend Shania Twain has proved she is still the one by claiming this weeks top spot on The Official UK Album Chart.
‘Now’ is Twain’s second UK number 1 LP following ‘Come On Over’ back in . She claimed the coveted top spot after a tough chart battle with Indie outfit Wolf Alice by pipping them to the post with 747 combined sales more than the band.
Her number 1 spot means she is the first non Bristish country act to chart at number 1 on the UK’s Official Album Charts since doing it herself 18 years ago. ‘Now’ is also the second country album to hit number 1 this decade the last to do so was British duo Ward Thomas last year with ‘Cartwheels’. Their triumph made them the first ever UK act to have a number 1 album on The Official Charts.
