51-year-old country music legend Shania Twain last hit the road back in 2015 as part of her Rock This Country show which saw her perform all over America and her native Canada.

At the time the sold-out arena tour was dubbed “the farewell tour” but the hitmaker who is gearing up for the release of her fifth studio album which will be her first LP release in fifteen long years, has now hinted that her touring days may not be totally behind her as many fans feared.

Talking to Press Enterprise about her headlining slot on April 28th at the Stagecoach Festival where she is set to premiere some brand new material, the world renowned singer said; “I really loved being on tour and had the best time and it kind of ended too soon. I think as he [her teenage son Eja] gets older I will pick up where I left off and do more at some point”.

Speaking further about her “farewell tour”, Twain added; “At the time I felt maybe that was all I had left in me. I really felt that way, but I was so energised by the tour and by the fans. For the time in my career, I really felt like it was easier and the fans really gave me more than ever before for some reason”.

During her interview with PE, Shania Twain also opened up further about her new record saying: “I felt the songwriting lead the way and let the stories go where they wanted to go. I wanted to make sure I nurtured the authenticity and the acoustic elements in the album and I do basically 99.9 percent of all the backing vocals and arranged all of them so they’re very organic and almost retro. I wanted to be true to my influences and to myself stylistically it just ended up bring very diverse from one song to the next”.

There have now also been seven song titles confirmed for the new album; ‘Life’s About To Get Good’, ‘I’m Alright’, ‘Light Of My Life’, ‘Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl?’, ‘We Got Something They Don’t, ‘Swinging With My Eyes Closed’,  and ‘Hard To Love’.

We personally love all the song titles and we cannot wait to hear them soon. We are also hopeful for a 2018 tour. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a few UK dates.
