Jocelyn Square – Angel From Montgomery

Jocelyn Square are a band formed of Amy Alexander (lead vocalist) and Hus Hodja (guitar). These guys came to our attention recently and after just one listen you’ll quickly realise that the vocals of Amy are outstanding. Amy Alexander is a country soul singer and has loved country music from a very young age. Despite being just 18, she has travelled to Nashville on three occasions, attended every C2C festival (and even its predecessors) and if a big name US star heads to the UK, you can be sure to see her at one of the dates. So as you can see, country is in Amy’s blood.

This is a wonderful cover of the Bonnie Raitt classic ‘Angel from Montgomery’, written by John Prine. I’m sure after hearing this, you’ll want to hear more and you won’t have to wait long, as we’ll be featuring another great cover from the duo in just a couple of weeks.
