It’s a well known fact that the UK struggle year on year to gain any success in the Eurovision Song Contest, often getting zero points or languishing in the bottom half of the table.
However that could all be set to change this year thanks to new hopeful Holly Tandy. The Country-Pop, Yorkshire native singer first rose to fame back in 2017 when she reached the live finals of The UK X Factor where she wowed with her stunning vocal prowess.
And now the young rising star is ready to take the world by storm with her homegrown blend of Country-Pop. It was announced earlier this week that Holly Tandy would be competing in Israel on February 8th in the You Decide Competition against several other hopefuls all hoping to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest this March.
All singers have shared versions of the track ‘Bigger Than Us’, with Tandy being the only one to put a Country twist on the song.
It’s amazing to see UK Country being brought to an even wider, worldwide audience and to have Holly representing the UK in the contest would be a wonderful thing for the ever growing genre.
So the cats out of the bag! I will be competing in Eurovision you decide this year 💃🏻 please have a listen and share the lyric video below.
On the 8th of feb the song contest will be live on BBC 2 to crown the winner ⭐️ so excited to be part of… https://t.co/guyhmC3nBV
