Iona Fyfe – ‘Dark Turn of Mind’ Out Now

A new year is always a great time to check out new music, and today sees the release of ‘Dark Turn of Mind’ from Iona Fyfe. Last year Iona released her debut album ‘Away from My Window’ to great critical acclaim, an album of traditional songs and ballads from the North East of Scotland and was almost completely in the Doric-Scots vernacular. This new release sees Iona with her first release which is entirely in English.

This EP from the Aberdeenshire based singer features six ballads and has been described as “a new interpretation to the country genre” by Maverick. You’ll be struck by the beautiful, pure vocals of Iona, with the EP telling a series of wonderfully woven songs.
