Tomorrow sees the ‘Live in the Living Room Gives Back’ event at the Islington in London. This charity event will raise money for Meningitis Now, a charity committed to research, awareness and support of the disease. The all-day event features a whole host of artists who have featured on Belles and Gals in the last two and a half years.
Hannah Paris, who has a management deal with us here at Belles and Gals, features on the fantastic line up while other artists who have performed brilliantly at our live gigs such as Liv Austen and Jeannine Barry also feature. Our next gig later this month features both Máiréad and Lucy Blu, and you can see both here too, while Gasoline and Matches are also on the line up, who you might be familiar with through Sally Rea Morris’ ‘Country State of Mind‘ articles. Orfila, Amy Westney and Sam Coe (who is stepping in for Melanie Greggain, who unfortunately can’t appear) are all brilliant too.
Let’s give a shout out to some of the great guys too. The Southern Companion, Steve Young, Jake Morrell, Simon James and Backwoods Creek are all outstanding artists, who it will be a delight to see perform.
There are a number of new names to me too, so the event might see me coming back enthusing about one or two new names!
