Hannah Paris Nominated for 2 BCMA Awards!

The BCMA (British Country Music Association) nominations were announced last week and it was fantastic to see Belles and Gals managed Hannah Paris land a couple of nominations. On Thursday it was announced that her single ‘L.A.’ had landed a nod in best ‘UK Song of the Year’ category, followed on Friday with a nomination in the ‘Best UK Video’ category for ‘Just You Wait’.

I spoke to Hannah yesterday about the award nominations and asked her how she felt to be nominated.

”I completely couldn’t believe it. I had to double check my name and make sure they hadn’t made a mistake! But yeah I was absolutely over the moon – just a dream come true. I went to the awards last year just to be part of the action, but I didn’t dream that I’d be up for an award this year’.

I asked Hannah about the song ‘L.A’.

“It’s a song about wanting to pursue something better for yourself. I felt like I was stuck in a rut, so I could imagine just packing up and driving somewhere – and I imagined L.A. as the big shiny place where your dreams can come true.”

I then asked Hannah about the ‘Just You Wait’ video.

“This was a lot of fun. We recorded it late at night, when we had the ‘Beast from the East’ in the winter. There was snow everywhere, but we had big cars, trucks and Mustangs. We were loving life singing on top of these trucks and it was a real fun bit of acting for me too – a right laugh!”
