SINGLE REVIEW: Sarah Darling’s ‘Wasted’ – Laura Klonowski

Since discovering Sarah Darling back in 2016 when she supported UK Country music superstars Ward Thomas on their sold-out tour I ave totally fallen in love with her silky sweet vocals, and easy charm.
So it was no surprise when I became obsessed with her new single Wasted which will be officially released on March 2nd, just days before she kicks off her UK tour. I first heard the stunning ballad last December during her support slot at Ward Thomas’ Christmas show in Guildford and I was spellbound from the first lyric.
The song tells the story of Darling’s family member’s break-up and it was written by the US sensation 10 years ago. The lyrics really resonate with me personally and I’m sure it will with a lot of listeners.
During the stripped back ballad Sarah delves into the damage another persons addiction can have on those around them and how it can affect those sacred relationships.
It’s a very deep and meaningful country song with wonderful, heart-wrenching lyrics that will strike a chord with many fans across the globe.
For me it is Sarah Darling’s best release to date and it will no doubt win her an army of new fans!
RATING: 5/5
