Your Voice, Your Choice #26 – Lily Garland

Today we continue with a great new feature on Belles and Gals – “Your Voice, Your Choice”. We introduce one of our favourite songs from a country artist and then the artist tells us in turn about a song that has inspired them and has a special place in their heart. Today we feature UK country artist Lily Garland.

Lily Garland is one of the true rising stars of the UK country scene. Lily has released two E.P’s in recent years – ‘Time To Fly’ (review here) and ‘The Next Chapter’ (review here) and both have been fantastic. ‘I’m Coming For You’ (above) was the first single from the second E.P. and it features Lily at her ‘attitude’ best – check out those vocals too.

Lily will be releasing a video for ‘Queen of the World’, which is the opening track to her second E.P, very soon – we’ll certainly be featuring it, so keep your eyes peeled!

Lily has chosen ‘Three’ by Lauren Alaina.

The words of this song really speak to me. It is about the sacrifices an artist makes just for that few minutes of recognition from the industry. It is such a personal song and it really does bring me close to tears each time I hear it. I have chosen a live version of the song as you get the full meaning behind the lyrics and you get to feel the emotion that Lauren Alaina puts in every time she sings it. A beautiful song with beautiful lyrics!”
