It’s another takeover day on Belles and Gals and we’ve asked Twitter user ‘Scottish Redneck’ (@adamdonaldson94) to choose the two videos. Firstly he has chosen Jennifer Nettles with “Drunk in Heels” and this is what he said about the song:
It’s hard to beat a nice, upbeat, fun country song and this one from Jennifer is just that! I may not be a woman myself (haha) but the setting and subject of the song is very relatable and familiar. You can hear the way she is obviously pointing out female gender roles and stereotypes but its done in a fun and lighthearted way. Seeing Jennifer have so much fun on stage performing this song at C2C this year has made me love it even more!
