Catherine McGrath – Hell Would Have To Freeze Over

Occasionally I hear a new artist and immediately think they have a voice that is just made for country music, and that was certainly the case with Irish singer songwriter Catherine McGrath.  As well as that amazing voice, the song is fantastic too – the first time I listened to it, it was on repeat for about half an hour, although I already knew I’d be featuring it within the first 30 seconds when I heard that voice. It’s little wonder that she was invited to record an ‘Under the Apple Tree’ session for Bob Harris.This is the first time I’ve featured 19 year old Catherine McGrath, but I already get the feeling that it certainly won’t be the last – this is a great debut.
