Today we feature Margo Price again with “Tennessee”. I remember at the start of the year that there was a buzz surrounding her album “Midwest Farmer’s Daughter” and when it was released I could see why – it’s simply fantastic. I’ve been lucky enough to see her perform twice in London this year, once at the Borderline and then again at the Scala and both gigs were fantastic, although the Scala possibly pipped it for me as she was playing with a full band and the she just rocked the place. In the video above she performs “Tennessee” in an Under the Apple Tree session for Bob Harris – this song features on the album and if you haven’t listened to her before you’ll soon see what all the fuss is about having hit play on the YouTube clip above.
As we move towards the end of the year there’ll be a lot of talk about artists of the year and if Margo Price’s name isn’t part of every such conversation it’s a fucking travesty.
